Ruby Aviña, a Chicago native from Brighton Park, is a comedy performer and writer with a passion for improv. After completing the iO training program in 2019, Ruby has become a rising star in the Chicago improv scene. They were part of The Bob Curry Fellowship 2023/2024 at The Second City, a prestigious program for rising comedic talent. Ruby performs regularly with Antojitos Improv, an all-Latine team that recently wrapped up their second successful Antojitos Fest. They also shine in Ratas de Dos Patas, a show that captivated audiences at the Destinos Festival at Steppenwolf Theatre. This October, you can catch them in Creature Feature at The Annoyance. Through comedy, Ruby loves to explore the complexities of human nature, offering fresh and dynamic perspectives.
