Gabriela Castillo-Miranda

Gabriela Castillo-Miranda (she/ella)is a Cuban born-and-raised American actor, comedian and writer, with a mission to embroider storytelling with yarn spun from the fibers of her AfroEurasian-Caribbean identity. 

Gabriela's training includes completing both the Writing and Conservatory Programs at Second City in Chicago, as well as the Professional Actors Training Program at the University of South Carolina in Columbia.

Gabriela has been recognized for her talent and passion, receiving the NBC Saturday Night Live! Scholarship to further her comedy training. She has also been honored with awards from the Latiné Musical Theatre Lab in New York, the Kentucky Foundation for Women, and the National Association of Latino Arts and Culture. These awards have supported the development of her play, "Lady Alhambra: A Play with Song and Dance."

In Chicago, Gabriela has performed in productions of the Annoyance Theater, Visión Latino, and Urban Theater Company. Her regional theater credits include performances at the American Shakespeare Center in Virginia and the American Players Theatre in Wisconsin. Other theatre credits include Theatre[502] in Louisville, KY and The Warehouse Theatre in Greenville, South Carolina.

Gabriela's talent extends to the screen as well. She has appeared in features such as "She's With Me," "Dude, Where's My Dog?!" and the short film "Woman in the Wall." Her artistic endeavors have also taken her to international stages, including Teatro Fragmentario in Barcelona, Spain, and the Banja Luka House of Culture and Sevdah Muzika Festival in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

With her unique background and dedication to her craft, Gabriela Castillo-Miranda continues to make a name for herself as a multi-talented performer, captivating audiences with her vibrant presence and storytelling prowess.
